PROJECT ZALENCNTRUM

This project was a part of the few projects I did together with fellow students. This is an old conference center. Part of the home of the client will be here. The other part is intended for rentable apartments. The question for us as designers was to keep the building intact with its historical value, but where these functions could be fulfilled. The final design shows that the future has been thought through with its flexible interior, the aesthetic value is retained and the impersonal old conference center gets a whole new character and identity.

 

The old building has a history and is actually made up out of 'layers'. This is further elaborated in the concept and can be seen on the image down below.
